General Description

Officially christened in 2003 by Her Dutch Royal Highness, Princess Margriet of the Netherlands, the ms Oosterdam is the second in our series of Vista-class ships. As such she embraces the latest industry and environmental technologies such as her use of a diesel-electric power plant for optimal energy efficiency and an Azipod propulsion system that maximizes maneuverability.

Symbolic of Holland America Line's more than 135-year history of circumnavigating the globe, the centerpiece of the ms Oosterdam is a magnificent Waterford crystal globe, prominently displayed in a three-story atrium. First-time cruisers aboard this ship will quickly recognize the traditional touches that make Holland America cruisers regulars: a warm palette of colors accentuating an extensive use of crystal, marble, inlaid woods and brass, lovely flower arrangements, priceless artwork and antiques and a full wraparound teak promenade deck with padded deck chairs.

Guests on the ms Oosterdam will be able to "show and tell" their vacation memories through the Digital Workshop powered by Windows®. Free workshops led by Microsoft-trained "techsperts" will show even the most novice camera or computer user how to take better vacation photos, make movies, edit pictures and create scrapbooks using a variety of Microsoft Windows and Windows Live services. Guests will learn how to share all their digital memories through email, blogging and social networking — so friends and family can see where they've been cruising even before they return home.

From a festive five-course affair to a quick, casual dinner for two, As You Wish® dining lets you choose the venues and style that suit you.Seating Times: 5:15 - 9 PM.
Dress: We suggest smart casual dress attire which includes slacks and sports shirt for men and skirt or trousers with blouse or sweater for women. On formal evenings, we suggest a suit and tie or tuxedo for men and a cocktail dress or gown for women. Swimwear and shorts are not permitted.
Costs: No cost, but specialty drinks and alcoholic beverages are at current bar menu pricing.

Vista Dining Room -
The luxurious, two-tier Vista Dining Room features impeccable service, an extensive wine list, and five-course menus offering continental cuisine, vegetarian, and low-carb meals.Seating Times: Breakfast: 7 - 10 AM, Lunch: Noon - 2:30 PM, Dinner: Early: 5:45 PM & 6:15 PM, Main: 7:45 PM & 8:15 PM.

Pinnacle Grill is an intimate, reservations-only restaurant featuring Sterling Silver beef, fresh seafood dishes, and extensive wine list, and a luxurious setting.Seating Times: Lunch: check onboard for hours of operation; Dinner: 6 - 9 PM.
Dress: We suggest formal attire, which includes suit and tie or tuxedo for men and cocktail dress or gown for women.
Costs: $20 per person charge for dinner and $10 per person charge for lunch. Specialty drinks and alcoholic beverages are at current bar menu pricing.

An Evening at Le Cirque (in the Pinnacle Grill) -
Enjoy the legendary Le Cirque ambiance and award winning cuisine at least one night on virtually every voyage. Dine on unique Le Cirque dishes such as lobster salad "Le Cirque", sweet corn soup and cote de boeuf and finish a fantastic meal with the restaurant's famous creme brulee.Seating Times: Dinner only but check onboard for hours of operation.

Terrace Grill -

Canaletto -
Adjacent to the Lido Restaurant dining area, the Canaletto Restaurant serves classic Italian fare with tableside service for dinner only. Seating Times: Dinner: 5:30 - 9:30 PM.

Java Corner -
