Hacienda San Gabriel de las Palmas was built in 1529 by orders of Hernán Cortés. Since then, it has been a Franciscan Monastery, the most important sugar plantation and refinery in Mexico as well as a scenery of important historical events. Surrounded by exuberant vegetation and delicious warm
weather, it’s located 30 minutes from Cuernavaca, on the old Acapulco highway.

At Hacienda San Gabriel de las Palmas, our rooms have been carefully restored and decorated creating a unique and exclusive atmosphere in each one of them.
Every room has it’s own personality. The unique cuisine we offer in our restaurant “El Ingenio” embodies quality and rich flavors, the variety of aromas and the colors of a proud culture of mestizo origin.

A few minutes away from Hacienda San Gabriel you can visit historical and adventurous sites like the pre-hispanic observatory of Xochicalco, Taxco, the international silver center, guided visits to other Haciendas in the State of Morelos, as well as the Lake of Tequesquitengo, where you can enjoy aquatic sports, or the Santa Fe Golf Course (only 10 minutes away).
